Hi

I'm new to the forum and looking for information/ideas please.

I have some Shure se210's and want to upgrade.

I'll be using the headphones with an iPhone, and also have the option of using my headphone amp.
I listen to electronic music mainly(Aphex twin), and will also be using the headphones to make electronic music on the iPhone using programmes like Beatmaker 2 and Reactable.

Im a big fan of quality bass, but don't like it to be unnatural or overpower the rest of the frequency range.
I'd also like the headphones to have replaceable cables like the sm3 v2 and um3x.

Then get SM3 V2 or UM3X if you want replaceable cables or customs perhaps?
or what is your price range?

My budget is around 300 euro. I can get the um3x for around €280 delivered. The sm3 v2 are €345 plus delivery.

I've no way of auditioning either.

Or you are located in EU I suppose.
I have owned both UM3x and SM3 (old version) and I preferred SM3 over UM3x. New SM3 apparently comes with new Shell and detachable cable so it is a plus as well.
Nevertheless, If you budget is 300 euros, I suppose UM3x fits better your needs...

Yes, I'm in Ireland.

The Um3x are closer to budget, but I'm willing to stretch to the sm3 if it has better bass for example.
I'm hoping somebody takes delivery of the sm3 v2 so I can hear their thoughts on the new shell and build quality.
