Hello
At home I am very happy with my Sennheiser HD280 Pro set, but I wanted to pick up some in-canal earbuds for on-the-go.

In-canal seems like the best choice for me because
1)They will block out outside noise allowing more musical enjoyment, great for vehicles and airplanes, kind of like earplugs with sound if I understand correctly.
2)They are small and can be easily carried around when not in use.

I'm pretty lost in the big sea of brands and prices, all I want are a nice set that fit me needs for maybe $20-50, preferably around maybe the $35 range, but I'm willing to pay a little more if I get my money's worth.

Thanks, all productive input is appreciated

I just read the review on earsquake's stuff, it's about $20, in ear iem. If what he said was true, it might be a good bet. I am not sure where to buy them though, I am asking the guy who did the review.

While the CX300's are pretty good IEMs, I am not sure if you will like them. From what I've heard, the HD280s are bright headphones with great highs are extended bass. But, they are NOT bassy, if anything the HD280s are bass-light. The CX-300 on the other hand is bass-heavy. It is a very warm type of IEM. Again, you may still like it, but based off your headphones, you might not.

I would look into the SoundMagic PL30, Maximo iMetal iM-590, etc. If you can spare an extra $10, I definitely consider the Fischer Audio Eterna.

Come to think of it I could do with a little more bass then my HD280's have,
If I had said I owned a pair of [Inset more bassy headphone model here] what would you say about the CX300B?

These look promising but I was wondering if anyone has any killer ideas before I go for it.

Thats a horrible price. Paying $30 for a set of CX300s in 2010 is blasphemy - they were decent mid-range earphones upon release five years ago but they just don't compete today. Lots of muddy bass if that's what you're into but aside from that not much to be said about them. For the same amount of money you could have a Meelec M6. A little more will yield a Brainwavz M1 or ViSang R02. The HD280 is dark-sounding so the R02 will be closest in overall balance and a good buy overall.
