I've been listening almost exclusively to my MX500 lately, and switched over to other phones.

I think I've grown so used to the sound that I don't like the others.

Koss KSC35 sound boomy and have veiled mids.
HD600 has too much stereo separation and thus too annoying to listen to.
V700DJ have nothing but fat bloated yuk bass and nothing else.

The MX500 has superb mids. Vocals sound SOOOOOOO good.

Yep, the Senn earbuds are quite excellent. I use the MX400s, and I'm quite impressed. Their sound is rich and balanced, and the spatial projection is great.

HI: If you would cut a hole in the koss-35 or portapro the bass is much tamer and the hole lets out the mids and the highs and will sound much better and not vailed or boomme. I have the senn. mx500 but they dont compair to the koss 35 or portapro for sound stage much bigger sound and great mids and highs and of course great bass. The hole in the pads is what you need to get the full potential out of the koss.

Doesn't make sense, your MX500 has as much stereo separation as the HD600: 100%
