If i use an E6 with my ipod touch's music app an it is the sole volume controller(b/c it is plugged in via LOD cable) how many presses on the volume UP button starting from 0 can i go up to without getting too loud to damage hearing.

Note: all songs are set at relatively equal volume levels and the amo is on EQ2 setting, meaning volume is increased by about 1 notch on top of the regular volume of the amp.

Not to sound cheeky, but when the music is too loud, then you are probably damaging (or already damaged) your hearing.

It would really depend on a few other things as well. Headphone sensitivity and all that come into play when talking about volume. What number of clicks for my gear to be too loud would probably be different than your number of clicks.
