quickest and cheapest way:

1/4" x2 -> RCA x2
RCA x2 -> 1/8" stereo
1/8" stereo coupler
headphones

another way is to buy the $30 monster cable and then a coupler. anyone have a link to the monster cable in question?

Monster cable (this is where I got mine)

Coupler

Would using that monster cable + a coupler net you any better sound quality than a regular rca with adapters to dual mono 1/4" on one end and rca to stereo 1/4" on the other?

so basically:
emu dual mono -> monster dual mono to stereo 1/4" -> stereo 1/4" coupler -> headphones
vs.
emu dual mono -> 1/4" to rca adapters -> rca cable -> rca to stereo 1/4" adapter -> stereo 1/4" coupler -> headphones

theres another simpler option that can be found at radioshack....

1/4" mono - 1/8" mono x2 > 1/8" stereo female - seperate 1/8" mono male here

or even a better way, yet slightly more involved would be to make yourself a custom adapter out of some good quality wire and ends, myself being a slightly lazy person has yet to do this.

An even more direct solution:
http://www.zzounds.com/item--CBIYM203

Anyone ordered from these guys? Looks like a great option for ampless Emuers like myself.

EDIT: upon closer observation they neglect to specify the female end as stereo, so i'm guessing it isn't. arrgg, so close.

Any recomendation where to buy
the Emu 404 to headphones adapter here

Thanks

I bought the YPP-136 locally and it doesn't seem to work :| i only have the left channel. on the package it says stero -> 2 mono, not 2 mono->stereo. the connections internally are not setup for the latter? hrm >_<
