I'm going to build a gilmore dynalo, but unfortunatly MCM is back ordered on the 2SK389 for 70 days

Where else can I get the FETs for the dynalo? I would like to get them all from the same place in order to save on shipping.
I know of BDent, but they don't have the 2sk1815

, not to mention the prices are a bit more than MCM

Thanks for your help

Hmm, appears you are right, sorry I am an idoit
BDent is a few more dollars than MCM, but its worth it to get all the parts sooner

Thanks skyskraper and sorry for my stupidity

Make sure you tell them to give you the same gain range for the complementary parts (2SA1015/2SC1815, and 2SJ109/2SK389). Matching devices of differing gain ranges will be at a minimum challenging, and quite likely downright impossible, even with the overlap in gain ranges. See the datasheets for more info (check dgardner's home page as he has all the datasheets collected there).

MAN! I never realized MCM had the dynalo transistors for cheaper!

Oh well, my dynalo sounds sweet so I can't really complain, can I?

Thanks for the advice! I would have never thought of doing that.

Maybe it is a good thing that I am ordering from BDent then, if they will match the gain range for complementary parts.

Guys- how many threads do we need asking about these FETs? Please do at least give the search function a shot.
