Each PSU board can power 2 amp boards. If you want to true dual mono you need 1 PSU board per amp board. I really doubt dual mono will make much of a difference for most people.

As for the gainclone...1 board good. I have been trying to figure out if this board will really work for the gainclone and it doesn't really look good. The PSU as designed will only put out 3A/channel given a proper transformer and isn't really designed for a poweramp from what people say. I would test your Dynahi's PSU on a gainclone before you specifically build a board as a gainclone PSU. I will likely be trying to power a gainclone by the PSU still.
