I haven't been following this thread as I'm busy with visiting the shows and vacation time in Asia but I see there is a new firmware version update for the DX340. I won't update the DX340 or apply any new tweak settings until I'm back home on my PC in the US (I didn't bring my laptop with me).
Those of you describing a random intermittent hissing on either left or right channel when you play DSD or any FLAC tracks can try a few things,
1. Go to QFIL, follow @mattclarke18 guide to go to the Partitions Manager tool on the top settings, scroll to a partition named " frp " and the right click and select "Erase Entire Flash".
You would then get the latest or desired firmware firehose image file and then do a fresh flash into your DX340 (mattclarke18 has a guide on how to flash as well).
2. If you are experiencing the random intermittent hissing and you are playing music locally from your SD card, test to see if the problem is from your SD card (add the same track onto your local internal storage and then use your folders navigation app on Mango Player app or whatever music player app to test playback on that track). If you don't have that same hissing then the problem is your SD card. You will most likely need to reformat that SD card on the DX340 itself and then just recopy all the music onto the SD again (which sucks but whatever).
I myself and a few others have had this issue early on and have described that issue on this thread but since then I've fixed this issue by trying the two mentioned steps above. I do believe that there are issues in the software in some DX340 units that can trigger when you try to do OTA updates.
