Yes, I have to restart the player to get the full sound out of the headphone jack.

Happened to me Once when I was doing Coax into D16 to compare. Yes, it is weird. In some instances, the 340 will pause and play and pause a few times by itself as well (stalling about 0.2 second). Especially when switching from sample rates by playing randomly all library collections.
This is early firmware issues, I think, next firmware will take care a lot of these

With some new impressive gear I can get a sense of things slowing down compared to what I was previously used to hearing. I got this feeling going from Linn Klimax DS to MScaler/Dave but I rarely felt this when comparing new DAPs to my current ones. I immediately relax into the sound instead of analyzing my new investment. The music takes over and time is lost. Everything sounds more real and I get a sense that the timing/pacing part of what makes music hit you differently is at play here.
Inevitably I start picking apart what I’m hearing but can still groove with the music at the same time, and what I’m hearing is impressive improvements across the board over DX320 amp11.2. For context, I apparently prefer DX320 to Sony WM1ZM2 based on usage hours and general preference but the Sony hits the spot when I’m in the mood. I have several iBasso Daps and dongles and this hits differently, not improving on specific aspects or tuning a different flavor, but upping the sound as a whole, making everything sound more lifelike, brining you another step closer to the music. Some of you have experienced this several times in your journey and know what I’m talking about even if I can’t explain it in a clear, traceable way.
Have 100 hours burned in, much of that spent in my ears. On the Annihilators 2020 I was stuck for hours - a little light and eh down low as a combo but didn’t matter to me. VE10 sound lovely here highlighted by how the bass is presented. I’ll keep it burning in, since that’s what we do. And OLED on DAP… mmm, I’ll take it.
Listening now to Polyphia - Playing God track on Mentor Multiverse…so it’s time to log off head-fi. For everyone who has this or getting it - enjoy

This is exactly what I feel! I am glad to hear it from others as well. As thick as the DX340 (obviously not as thick as the iBasso MAX players), I have been able to pocket it in my jacket pockets or pockets from my light utility type pants. It just feels like I have 2-3 phones stacked in my pocket but it doesn't wobble 
I have been enjoying them from my sling bag that I use when I'm listening to my IEMs on the train.

This thing keeps exceeding my expectations every step of the way, brain burn in, burn in, either way it has been synergizing with myself and my AMPs very well. 4.4 and 3.5 can be used at the same time, don't know if that was mentioned anywhere. Works phenominal
DX340 has full time replaced the Mojo 2+Poly, packed and ready for the next person.
Weight has been super manageable and a pleasure to interact with.Errands day, Sling bag is the move @DAPpower

Nice synopsis.I got so many questions as soon as I mentioned reviewing DX340, so I decided not to wait until I get to my full review (which is still coming) and put together this detailed First Look write-up, focusing on the new design and sound analysis, along with a handful of comparisons and DAC/amp pair-ups all within iBasso family. So after messing around with all the settings with my Clara’s and Maven’s I have settled on low gain, high dac gain, and H2.

Great quality from my POV and also great price.
I'll be doing LPSU GX16-2 to 2.1 and then 2.1 to 1.35 via adapter (no one seems to fabricate GX16-2 to 1.35 directly).
And...I've also ordered an USB-C to 2.1 and then 2.1 to 1.35 via adapter - for external battery so I can also get extra AMP power while on the go

I grabbed one of the last sale priced AMP14’s that Mimic had available before they sold out a couple of weeks ago but I have since settled on a different DAP for the time being instead of the DX340 so I am going to list the AMP for sale in the classifieds here, I will wait an hour or two in the case any one in here wants to snag it. I've purchased "Color: A" and "Color: B", 2 pieces each.
Color: A means straight adapter 2.1 to 1.35 and Color: B means L shaped adapter 2.1 to 1.35.
