This thread moves too fast 😂. What cable are you guys using for portable use to power the amp?

Maybe a CanJam debut? 😅🤔

Also a quick update on my experience with battery life. I just got 48 hours out of my DX340. Mostly idle during that time. Probably 6ish hours of play back streaming from Tidal app and Tidal via UAPP.

I'm satisfied with that.
I’ve been rummaging through the settings looking for power-burners to turn off. Like you, I’d be happy with 6 hours ‘play’ time.

I use this cable and the adaptor, and an anker prime power bank.

So, Is this my new favorite song: "I've Got The 340 Blues"?
I listened to my new 340 for about 5 hours yesterday and when I finished up, I plugged in a set of IEM and let it run overnight for about 12 hours. I got up this morning, put in my buds and everything sounded sweet. I was listening at 14 out of 100 and about 10 minutes in, the left channel filled with white nose & static at 100 out of 100 and pretty much blew out my ear drum. I switched between local files, internet radio stream and roon - made no difference - left side full of violent loud white noise. Did a restart and problem was gone. So I figured it was just a freak thing and forgot about it. 1/2 an hour ago, I'm back to listening and after an hour and the left channel starts clicking intermittently until it become constant then constant clicking turns to that wall of white noise. I tried to restart, this time it made no difference and it was still there on reboot. Shut it down for an hour and then it was gone. I dont trust this thing and my ear drum is still screaming from this morning's incident. Hard to say if this is firmware or something in the circuitry - but for sure it's not good.
I have run into the same issue with the clicking in the left channel. I've had my 340 since Jan 3. I've tried everything (full reset multiple times, etc...) but the issue arises both in Android and Mango. Fell asleep with my iem's and was awakened by the same deafening white noise.

Did you figure out what the issue was? Has anyone else experienced this? I love the sound from this device when it's not glitching, but this is driving me nuts

You are awesome! Thank you. Ordered and will be here before I leave for CanJam!

Thanks, another member here found it, works great. I got a spare too.

Note: Be careful plugging it into the DX340 amp port. When I first used it I had the usb c plugged into the power bank first and the adaptor in place, and when I went to plug it into the amp port, it arc'd across to the metal around the port, tiny little spark. That caused a temporary fault condition in the power bank, with a warning message. It quickly recovered thank goodness. So I disconnected and plugged into the DX340 amp port first, then plugged the usb c into the power bank.

I should know better. 😄

Thank you for the advice. I will be extra careful.

The problem with my DX340 (early batch, the one with incorrect FPGA Master 2.0 sticker) was that there was random lingering hissing that happens randomly when you cycle through FLAC, High Res and DSD tracks. Once the hissing appears it lingers for a few tracks then it disappears again, but out of nowhere the hissing comes back.
This is noticeable with IEMs, headphones you can hear very quiet hissing, almost to the point where it doesn't sound like hiss but it is definitely still there.

Sometime it jumps from right channel to left channel and if you listen closely you can hear some high pitched transistor noises along with the hiss.

I'm guessing it might be an issue with my AMP15, I've sent my DX340 back to Bloom Audio for examination.

I should not even be able to login anymore on here but can't stand to see people having issues with my favorite DAP.

Email Bloom. They will replace your device with a brand new one if you bought it from them. If you bought from other place it will have to be sent to China by your dealer and Paul told me they will replace with new device as long as you bought from authorized dealer. My Bloom is being replaced with a brand new unit once they get new stock in. The batch ours came from has some issues. Paul told me they are looking into all of issues. I gave him a list. The very first batch seems to be good as once I flashed my other one it has been working perfectly. I expect next FW update will fix a lot of issues and maybe have some surprises.

You can try flashing to newest FW to see if that gets rid of noise. Ota updates are not reliable. When you do OTA the inactive boot gets the upgrade and active one while doing upgrade does not as androids have boot_a and boot_b. It gets it on next OTA update. This is what messed up my used 340 when it was reset and why I NEVER recommend doing OTA. Always flash with Qfil.

Anyone with poor battery life you need to conract your dealer for a replacement device. The drain on battery while using 12V DC in is being worked on by IBasso so that is a known issue.

For power bank 12V DC in this works perfectly and you can use for other stuff too and includes all the adapters. NO hissing.

For those that want best SQ and do local play get a Swissbit card! The difference is not small as I compared directly with a sandisk since I have two same iem sets and 2 340s. @Whitigir is Not wrong. The 340 is an extremely capable sonic master piece and so responsive to tweaks like this, beyond my expectations.

My guides will be up on Npaudio later this week when I have time. If you have questions or issues with guides etc pm me over there as any time now my account here will be deleted and I will be gone from here for good.

Glad to hear Bloom is handling the replacements so smoothly! It’s always nice to see companies stand behind their products. That Swissbit card tip is solid too—definitely makes a noticeable difference. I totally agree, the 340 is an absolute beast with the right tweaks. Appreciate all the info and your input on the OTA updates—I’ll stick to flashing from now on! Looking forward to those guides on Npaudio!

Nice trigger cable. Is it possible to misclick the voltage switching button during run times ? What if you set to 12V, listening in bed, and something get caught on the button and the voltage switch happened ?
