Has anyone heard and compared both the 320MAX and 1ZM2? Would love to hear thoughts on the two.

I did a number of comparisons with various daps in my DX320Max Ti review here.

I originally had an issue of digital battery draining while the player was off. Then when I went on a business trip for a few weeks, I came back and the player was totally dead. It had eventually turned on again after I detached and re-attached the battery but it only lasted for a few minutes before completely shutting off and never turning on again. After iBasso sent new batteries to me but they also did not fix the problem, I had to mail in the 320MAX back. After about 3 weeks from the time I sent it, I received the 320MAX back today and it's working again!

Will report back on battery draining and see if that got resolved too. They ended up replacing my entire SoC, so seemed like a big repair, but thanks to Paul and iBasso to get me back up and listening to this device again!

Friends, the player is completely unique. Now I'm looking for the same unique end-game headphones to go with them. Can you recommend the maximum level of full-size headphones that ibasso can drive (open and close both)? I'm currently choosing between ZMF verite, Abyss Diana MR and hifiman1000se. Maybe someone has some ideas on what else I can listen to?

I love it with my Final D8000. Amazing bass and clarity!

Why are you guys selling the best DAP on the planet? Planning on getting the upcoming LP?

Good question. I’m a catch and release type guy - want to try different things and setups.

I knew about E7, which is out, but where did you read about LP7? I was aware it was a project for at least a couple of years now, but is there any info on the DAC and amp board used, or specs, etc?
Don’t know anything about it. Just knowing it’s coming in the distant future.

Interesting review. I'd agree it's more resolving that 300 but found 320 to be brighter (maybe through resolution) than 300 by quite a bit
I have never found it to be bright sounding. It, IMO, can compete with my desktop amps and works great with most all of my headphones. And, I don't like bright sound at all.

Yeah, not so much brighter but more resolving. 300 I didn't find bright in the slightest, maybe Ti was..?

Wow, my impression is quite the other way round to yours  . I had the Ti, which I found similar to the sound 320Max produces through Mango Android: bright, resolving but less dense and heavy sound, slightly leaner. 320Max through Mango OS to me sounds equally resolving, but darker, denser, heavier, but not warm at all. Perhaps 300Max SS was different.
