Just updated

Listened to the same two tracks over and over before updating (with stock amp11mk2s).

There seems a few minor sonic changes

Vocals for ones seem more forward to me for one.

Anyone else notice anything?

*listening on android side btw

I agree. I had to reinstall the firmware as there was a volume wheel issue, but not it is fine. I know it may sound odd, but it sounds more "lush" and "smoother" with a bit of the upper highs rolled off.

Oh, one thing I have noticed, is they are a bit microphonic. Any idea how long they are supposed to warm up?

Hmm. It may have reset it self to LO (line out) after the update(??).

Set back on PO

Which might have been the problem.

Pretty sure i didnt do a finger slip…

Additional timeline

Listen on first firmware with stock amp 3.5mm

Update to new firmware

Listen to stock amp
(Android and mango)
Seems different

Change to amp13. Hmm

Listen on both sides (android and mango)

Swap back to stock on pure mango side. Insert 3.5mm (LO popped up).

—————————-

Ok i just repeated the steps as best i could

When i did the final step of swapping back from amp13 to stock amp

- it was in LO (line out mode) on the stock amp

So be careful. Its a software/firmware issue

I will email paul at ibasso
Maybe someone might try to replicate my findings
- i have not done a factory reset the tried (i did not want to loose my test playlist on the internal memory. Cause lazy).
That could fix it

- i did not hot swap the amps. I turn off then back on each time.

————————————

Factory reset :

Same effect

Change from amp13 (turn off dap first)

Then to amp11mk2s (stock amp)

LO is on.

LO is NOT stuck. I can manually change it back to to the default proper default of PO

So, by accident, I run out of battery overnight on dx320. Starting out at 100% analog and 83% digital…I was monitoring it, and forgot to charge it. Woke up to a drained off dx320. Analog is sitting 55% and digital is 0%. So, I would assume that analog will always have about 30% more juice than digital at this point.

Upgrade? Just for the cable and less bass, I love my Monarch OG I don't find the MK2 and upgrade just my opinion. U12T is an upgrade.

Interesting! 12T would be great, but a little out my price range at the moment unless I sold my Mest and my monarch which I don't really want to do. I do definitely want to try the MKII's as always looking for something better. Definitely not to say the Monarch MKI's aren't great with this DAP!

Happened to me too. Analogue 63% and digital 0%:smile::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

My digital side is still draining very fast. This is with 10 minutes screen time since fully charged, about 2 hours of music use, and being on standby over night.

Wow. Would certainly expect it to last longer than that...
