Thanks, also, meant a modified amp12..
I think they are talking about a modified amp12 for the dx300..?
Though I could be wrong
These two threads are blurring together these days (dx240/dx300)

Looking at around 10 hours DX240 and amp8 , mid gain, Campfire Audio Solaris on shuffle.Wondering what sort of battery time would 240 get with amp8 or 12..
Was that streaming or offline?Looking at around 10 hours DX240 and amp8 , mid gain, Campfire Audio Solaris on shuffle.
(Stock amp is 10 hours).
Going to do another try tomorrow to confirm - as it was a bit stop and start.
Good pointWas that streaming or offline?
Great news, it takes a few charges and yes it should be over 10 anyway, more like 12 advertisedDX240
Well color me suprised.
I did post yesterday that i reached about ten hours roughly keeping track.
Today i just left it playing from 7am - 6pm with 3% battery left.
So 11 hours with amp8
Mid gain, Campfire Audio Solaris. Playing random tracks on shuffle from the micro sd card.
I did not expect amp8 to last as long as the stock to be honest. This is good.
It is the main reason for me to keep looking at DX300 while choosing between DX240 and RS6: extra battery never hurts while used DX300 is even cheaper than any of newcomers these daysDX240

Thats why i like iBasso so much. They learned from their mistakes- the dx220 had quite horrible battery life- it lasted around 5h after 1,5 year of use. And it got very very hot. The dx300 has insane battery life, like really insane. I need to charge my samsung s20 2 times a day when i use it intensively. When i was on travel last weeks, the dx300 got drained to 60% from 100% in like 8h. Thats above any expectations for me. And its cold as dead meatIt is the main reason for me to keep looking at DX300 while choosing between DX240 and RS6: extra battery never hurts while used DX300 is even cheaper than any of newcomers these days
It’s true. Dx300’s battery life is great. But we need to admit that it’s a brick. I’d say that it’s transportable rather than really portable.Thats why i like iBasso so much. That's right though carrying DX240 along with power bank is even more bulkyIt’s true. Dx300’s battery life is great. But we need to admit that it’s a brick. I’d say that it’s transportable rather than really portable.
That’s why I ditched it in favour of the dx240
Luckily I don’t need a power bank in my pocket! That's right though carrying DX240 along with power bank is even more bulky
No need for power banks. Most boats, planes and trains have electrical power sockets on them these days so just plug it in if your travelling longer than 11 hoursThat's right though carrying DX240 along with power bank is even more bulky
