Sorry..Got a brain drop..here in english :)

Hi Whitigir,..or any other.

A question,..If you are really honest, which DAP do you think have the best music-quality...

▪ Sony NW WM1Z
▪ DX200
▪ DX200TI

And after that question,..How far apart are they in %,..if you speculate a bit freely.

▪No one who dares to protrude the nose and answer this above.?

Has anybody noticed, since the Oreo upgrade, the Audio Hardware page in Neutron player nownow states 44khz and 16bit being the maximum where previously it was much higher?

No it is not. Mine varies as should be.

Forget to tick follow the frequency box?

Does anyone here use a secondary DAP to the DX200? Anyone prefer something a little more pocketable for on-the-go use?

I then use ak100ii or phone like lg or vivo.

Here is an update on how to use HQPlayer to Upsampling on the fly into your DX200

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/dx200-and-dsd512-how-why.888682/#post-14478267

My built PC is 5x your regular DX200 price, and 2.8x the price of DX200Titanium

But I can not stop loving the DX200Titanium for playing DSD512 natively. It does not only just play DSD512 natively, but is excellent at it. Again, something that even some desktop pieces are having problems, and DX200 will just sing, and sing all day long until it is out of battery

**be noticed that**
Upsampling on the fly conversion by HQPlayer is a great way to save storage space while enjoying DSD512 . However, your performances can be severely be affected by your PC and how it was built, or how much processing power it has. I can only confirm that with an excellent built PC, the DX200 can only appreciate and perform just like any desktop DAC would in the performances for DSD512 performances.

For everyone else, I would recommend buying Xivero and offline conversion into 400Gb or 512Gb MicroSD card, and enjoy similar or even better performances of DSD512, instead of on the fly. Unless you built your Pc the way that I did :D

Here is another reason why I would recommend you to enjoy DSD512 Offline conversion and stored straight into your MicroSD on the DX200.

These timed and processed signals will be affected by your cables impedance characteristics, which can impose jitters and inaccurate phases...etc....interferences....therefore, every I2S is recommended to be as short as possible. So, you can’t get shorter than DX200 PCB Board  when you do on the fly conversion

That is an additional plus that the on the fly Upsampling won’t be comparable to your offline conversion anytime soon.

The negative side is that HQPlayer offers us all different filters, modulators, for different sound signatures, which our offline conversion ATM is not possible. So, if you want to enjoy this feature, you would have to build 4-5k PC lol

Anyways, for common folks and DX200, Offline conversion with good amp module and earsbuds are plenty

Yeah, well.....DX200 is still pretty much ahead of it game in comparison to many other DAPs

just got my DX200 last Friday, this is the 2nd DAP i own and I would say the sound is awesome.
Once I got the unit, I straightaway update to latest stable Oreo.

Never had a chance to listen the music quality in Android 6. Curious to test it out.

to downgrade from Oren to v6, we need the android tools v1.39?

Steps:
1) Get the v6 firmware file
2) Need to put the DAP into firmware flashing mode
3) open the android tool and choose the file and flash it

May I know any steps I missed out ? Please enlighten me before I proceed.

Thanks in advance.

If there is any way to calibrate dx208 battery?
I upgraded to Oreo+latest Lurker’s patch, fully charged it, chose 16bit flac album, set volume to 90 and started continues playing. After 7.5h of playing the battery was 16%.
But after next 20 mins my dap was off.
When I powered it the battery showed 0%.

Decided to perform one more experiment.
Charged dap to 100%
Installed Oreo again(only Oreo, no more software)
Restored to factory settings
Started playing (settings above)
After 8h the battery was 15-16%
Then after 10mins - 12%
After 5min i switched the display on and dap switched off...

Yes 8h is good for dx200, but I think dap has some issue and i don't understand what is it.
