Many cable replaceable IEMs have sound problems. Like one earpiece can suffer from sound cuting off and on. this prevents that but if the cable breaks it's bad of course...

How is that a fault of replaceable cables? Correlation does not imply causation, there's no reason adding a cable jack to an earphone would change the likelihood of internal disconnection.

I'd say you're attributing failure to something other than the cause here. Replaceable cables are an advantage not only in case of breakage, but in opening up the possibility of using better cables and plugs.

Yes, of course you are right. But when we live away from the store and have to send the IEM to it "often" because of this problem, it kinda puts me off buying an IEM than many people report with sound cutting off and on problems. It's the case with the Fidue A83. It interests me very much but this is kinda an obstacle.

I got word from DUNU that the DN-2000J is officially releasing this coming weekend, so expect order pages to come out real soon.

subbed! DN-2000J is definitely on my radar. Will you get a review sample tomscy??
Hope the new DN-2000j will have lush and emotive mids, for my taste the mids on the DN-2000 are just a tad dry. If the j version can improve in that area and doesn't get worse in other areas it should be a really really great IEM.

Yes, they'll be sending me a unit --- I'll be posting impressions. Based on previous impressions, don't bet on the mids being lush and emotive, though --- they're likely to be a little more dry, actually. Sorry.

  Delayed?

Sorry, I've been busy with lots of other (non-audio related) stuff, so I haven't had time to follow-up with them.

I assume they're trying to ramp up production and have stock ready to deliver when they formally announce? Either that, or they don't have the production capacity to make both the DN-2000 and DN-2000J at the same time, so they need to reallocate resources? Just guesses.
