i was hoping to reterminate a recently acquired k702 that already had the moon audio dual entry mod done. the only problem is that its terminated to a 1/4.  to me it would have made perfect sense to go balanced with it. i inquired and found it was very hard because of the techflex and how drew makes his cable. 
 
what benefits (if any) over the single entry will the dual entry have WITHOUT going balanced?

I'm guessing that you must be bypassing some perhaps less than optimal wireing inside the phone that transfers the signal from one cup to the other

It simply bypasses the signal traveling through the headband itself. So some thick solid wire and two solder joints.  I did the recable to dual entry myself. Sound better but I'm sure it's all placebo. You can't a/b something like that unless you have two pair. My audio memory is as good as useless....

i hope it does sound better but i really wish it was easier to reterminate it to balanced. i think then the gain would be a lot more with dual and balanced. thanks for the responses!
