I am using a Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII with my HD600 and considering a DT880. Which to choose 250 or 600 ohm?

As Leckerton only rated the UHA-6S MKII to 300-Ohm, guess you should get the DT880 250-Ohm.

600 Ohm has more bass texture, detail, smoother presentation, slightly cleaner instrument separation, and a slightly bigger soundstage IMO.

It's actually within about 5% difference... and it shows up randomly depending on the source (as in the music file, not the system).

I found an article by Tyll at Innerfidelity and it echoes what you are saying.

I don't think you should choose an entirely different phone over it.... The difference between the 32, 80, 250 and 600 ohm versions of Beyer phones are very little depending on who you talk to, but changing to a different phone is going to be VERY different. If you like the sound of the 880 I don't think the change could possibly be that drastic that you would hate it. All that being said never trying a 600 ohm myself to be fair. Just IMO.
