So I was just listening to some tunes when the right driver goes out suddenly.

It worked sporadically if I tapped the right ear piece. Now I get nothing.

Ohm meter measures nothing for right driver, fine for left.

Does Beyerdynamic do warranty service? What is the contact?

If not, how much is a new driver for the 80 ohm model and where could I purchase one?

Very good advice. I can't imagine you listening to music at a volume that's loud enough to blow the diaphragms!

The fact that you were actually listening to music at the time makes me thing it's the cord. The only way I've ever blown a driver in a headphone is when I left a pair of KSC-35's plugged into my desktop ProMedia 2.1's, went to work the next day and couldn't figure out why the level in the speakers was so low and kept turning it up. Pretty stupid, huh?

I checked with various sources to make sure the source wasn't bad, and I applied the ohm meter to the driver directly, so it's definetly the driver and not the cable, as I'd hoped.
