You need an acetone or some cleaner based on acetone. The letters comes off easily and polished surface don't bothered. But it's risky to try it on plain plastic headbands(not 600 and 650) because they can suffer from acetone!

what would be even funnier is if there was some chip in-line which whispers 'you love sennheiser' every minute or so over your music

oh wait there is

It looks nice and pro. Maybe I dissolve the letters some day.

In fact i broke the headband in two pieces on the second day i owned the HD 650(imagine how i was feeling). Tried to bend and its WAY-WAY more fragile than i could imagine but i was able to repair it:

Why would you take that off? You paid about an extra $100 precisely because that's ON there!

I would advise people to think twice. I tried after reading this thread, and the finish came off, from behind the lettering! Maybe this works on some pairs, others not. I wish I never even touched it. Typical autistic and obsessive me. "Such classy-looking headphones, but that ugly logo, maybe I can remove it." I didn't even have these for one whole day, and no they aren't new.

Knowing me, one day it would start bugging me that i had removed it. That is pretty much for sure. Also another problem is you kill the resale value. And another problem is if you don't do it right you end up with terrible result. So no thx
