Don't buy any FiiO product from SainStore on Amazon and how to distinguish a genuine FiiO E6 from a fake one

Well, well, well. Looks like I may have gotten a fake. Ordered it from EMUSIC ENTERPRISE INC from Amazon (it was even thru their Prime program) around the first of April. I wonder if Amazon will do anything about this. My first friggin' amp and it's fake. I am so bummed. :frowning2:   Anything I can do?

We will post the authorized retailer list in UK, US, Europe when we finish the collection. and also the black list.

BTW, we already send Counterfeit complaint letter to Amazon. but currently , please visit where to buy in our official website to find our authorized reatiler/agents/distributor in local market and buy from them.

Hi Jjacq, TGFara-1, E11 and E17 should be the original ones, we have only found out that E1, E3,E5,E6,E7  have counterfeit parts in the market until now.

thanks for the help, its great to see a company that cares for the consumers, especially the quirky community of head-fi

Hi Cathy, Sent you a PM. No serial number on the package. Externally it looks like a legit E6 as far as I can tell. I'm a little afraid of trying to open the case for fear of breaking it. Still looking for my owners manual to compare that.

apparently I have a fake one. I got one last week and unfortunately I tossed the packaging before I found out about this thread. It got it on amazon from a company called BTA CORP which apparently isn't an authorized seller

If I recall correctly I don't think it had a serial number on it or else I wouldn't have thrown it out. Also, I think mine is fake because the ring loop on it looks pretty thick compared the the real E6 in the pictures and the USB port definitely looks like its sunken into the surface.

I'm afraid to open it in fear of breaking it.

So now I'm sitting on a $30 paperweight that I apparently won't be able to return and definitely can't use on my new klipsch m40s. :frowning2:
