Why these 2 albums sound so different? The LP has a fuller sound, better placement of the instruments and vocals, while the CD sounds so bright, thin, brittle, edgy, dry, bad placing of the instruments and vocals and even causes fatigue. Here are the albums, listen to them if possible in their own suitable gear components.
 
They both are mastered digital recordings but the one in the LP sounds much better period.

CD layer on my SACD version sounds just fine, and AFAIK the original CD release is considered a benchmark of sound quality.
