Currently I have a Xonar Essence STX, but I'm looking at getting another video card which means I'll have to take the sound card out to make room. I could get another motherboard with more PCI-E slots, but I don't want to upgrade until Haswell comes out so I'm considering an external amp/DAC. I do have a Xonar U3 (which has Dolby Headphone) so I'm wondering if I use the Xonar U3 in conjunction with something like a FiiO E17, will Dolby Headphone still work or will I only get stereo?
