i dont know why but i tend to get bored of good quality sometimes so i go back to my ibuds to hear them just to find out how spoiled i am. i usually do this once a week. i like to see what a difference it makes. also since i always wear over ear headphones putting in ear buds gives me a bit of a break once in a while. anyone agree?

I listened to a pair of $7 in ears i got for free. They didn't sound that bad...better treble than the Tours I had actually. Not so well on the bass and mids.

Does going from my HD650s to my Portapros count, or are we talking genuinely crappy headphones here?

I lost my Yuin earbuds somewhere, but I haven't been missing them much. I've been using Apple earbuds when I sleep. I can't wear anything bigger than ear buds when lying down to sleep and in-ears feel gross that late at night. I don't think there's anything wrong with using Ibuds to sleep. Doesn't sound that bad at low volumes. Super comfortable small form and little sound pressure making fatigue almost non-existent.

Yes since it's the only pair of earbuds I have. I actually use it quite often when I need something easy to plug into...like porn.

I've done it before. The newer iBuds actually aren't completely horrible. They're a marked improvement over the crap that Apple used to include, both in comfort and sound. But yeah, nothing on my real headphones. Mostly I'm pretty happy with my stable so I don't need to reaffirm my purchases very often, but once in a while it's nice to @^$& on what 99% of the world thinks is "good 'nuff."

I've also been listening periodically to my old, busted V700 for purposes of writing a comprehensive review, the first (and last) Head-Fi will ever know of the flagship of the V-crap line.

Actually, there's a V900HD too, which is a good bit better.

And yeah, I use random earbuds when I have nothing else to use, which is rare, but the EX082 were great for stocks.
