Probably going to grab a semi-small Moleskine today for recipes. And a new sturdy pacer. Ive been using a 70 cents pacer that i bought 2 minutes before a class because i had nothing to write with

I love that pen. Hand machined by Michael's Pens. I've got a collection of his designs. A dream to write with!

I have these above in my collection. The red fountain pen on the bottom I actually have in copper, but Michael is all out of that one for now.

Wow I really like the third from the top. Very nice.

I'm a big big fan of the Moleskine. I'm lost without my weekly planner. All of the left pages have spaces for each day of the week while the right page is just ruled.

I also carry an unlined pocket moleskine for occasional doodlings and ramblings.

I used to, but I switched to 3x5 index cards for organizational purposes (very nice ones made by Crane's) and to A4 spiral notebooks by Clairefontaine for note-taking. I don't find the Moleskine paper particularly good, it responds quite poorly to fountain pen ink. The main advantage of the Moleskine is its surprisingly rigid cover, which allows you to take notes even when you don't have a desk, like using a clipboard.

Why would someone want an organiser made of mole skin??

It's not actually covered in mole skin. "moleskine" is French for oilcloth or other synthetic leather substitutes, mostly in furniture.
