Do you hear the difference? A test

So easy, I immediately knew B was the 128kbps after 3 seconds
The vocals sounded very off compared to the 320kbps, it's not as sharp and you can hear some slight 'distortions' when he reaches the high pitches. And as other people, said, there's less 'air' and soundstage in B

Got it right with my C700 + onboard sound lol.
I have to listen for like 10 times each to finally able to hear a little bit of difference xD. Not a bad 128 kbps rip mp3 for sure.

It is easier to tell the difference between 128 kbps v 320 kbps using drums especially the cymbals sound.

I found the difference very obvious the first time around. The 320 clip had better positioning, a wider soundstage and a greater sense of depth.

I was worried I'd get it wrong though. Nice to know I'm not throwing money down the drain, not completely anyway!

You aren't supposed to give the answer. You ruined it for others.

Fortunately, I did the test before posting. You could tell by the orchestra behind the voice. The 128k was thinner sounding.

Got it correct, but I think they both sounded like rubbish. In the end I went with my gut because I thought the second sample was a bit "dirtier," and that the ending of the first one was fuller.

Got it right with my HD580's > LD MK II.

I thought the voice on the correct one sounded kinda fuller, and everything sounded more compressed on the false one.
