Hi all, i own a pair of Denon c300 iems and the bass on them sound really deep and punchy at low volume levels from my fiio e11 amplifier. But when i increase the volume level on the amp, the higher i go the more bloated and muddy the bass gets on these iems. Are these iem generally bloated when amped and driven hard?

Hmm, when i use my Cowon I also need to amp them. This is because of the ipod ring on the jack causes issues on the Cowon. You actually have a fiio E11 right? This is a pretty warm amp to begin with. You aren't using bass boost level 2 right?
That would be like pouring yourself a cup of bass and then adding 7 spoons of base. If that is the case then you should try unequalised or flat, at least that's what I run my Denons on.
While the denon is pretty forgiving of low quality mp3s, I have noticed a bit of muddiness, but when running a flac like RAM/Daft Punk, the experience is brilliant, no matter what the volume.
