Do the K240 Studio earpads fit on the K240 Monitor version?

Googling reveals that the k240s pads will fit on the k240. However people have said that if you use the k240s velour pads, it will ruin the sound of the k240(I've read around on it, see if I can find the exact thread. No personal experience though.).
 
DT 770 pads will also work, although they are also velour though.
 
From reading I'd just stick the leatherette pads.
