They could (and often do) have fake back plates, fake (and less sensitive) scroll panels, scratches etc, new but cheap batteries and use a logic board from a 30gb iPod with only 32MB of RAM and not 64MB which the 60/80gb models are meant to have.
Be sure to buy form a reputable seller and fully understand the description and grading.
Chances are you will be happy, but I'd opt for a well looked after second hand one (that was bought new) if you can find one.
