I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed - I searched, read quite a bit, but didn't find my answer.

About 10 years ago I purchased a set of Tributaries to go between my receiver and my cd player. Should I be looking to replace them anytime soon? I can't tell any degradation in sound quality, but then I suppose it would be too subtle to catch.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Should last forever.

Not even any mechanical movement between the equipment to consider.

Theoretically possible through oxidation of the copper in the connectors or wires and leeching of some dielectric materials into the conductors. However, I've never heard any effect in 20+ years nor have I heard of anyone else experiencing it with well-made, intact cables. Just make sure your connectors are clean and your jackets have no splits or cracks.

Monster 12ga Original Classic cable turns green and sounds dull after a few years. AR brand is much better in the same price range at big box electronics stores.
Looks the same basically too, but sounds a bit better and hasnt turned green yet.
