Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can point me to electronics suppliers in Chicago (or suburbs) other than Rat Shack and Triode Electronics? I know there are some Newark sales offices around, but am not sure who sells parts to someone walking in...

Thanks,

Chris

I guess that makes 3 of us! I'm looking for Neutrik connectors and Canare and/or Mogami mic cable locally. I would also like some Techflex for some DIY cables.

Thanks Kevin,

Those guys would be a bit of a haul for me (Naperville/Aurora area), but might be an alternative to ordering from Digikey/Mouser etc. if I really needed something quick. Probably not too inconvenient for you from Northwestern...

For a city the size of Chicago, it kinda floors me that this kind of stuff is hard to find locally. I always get envious when I see posts regarding other areas and they manage to come up with 3-4 suppliers.

There used to be this place about 6 blocks from my house
called 645 electronics. Everyone there was a major geek.
The requirement to work there was an extra class ham
license. Too bad they closed up when the owner passed
away. They had the most massive stash of tubes i ever
saw.

Did they sell all of them or are they tucked away somewhere?
