Dear all

I am aware of is a DIY project on headwize which are supposed to drive all eletrostatic headphones.

Link

Is there anyone who implemented the design? Any idea about the part cost in a ball park would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Sam

Build this one: http://headwize2.powerpill.org/proje...lmore2_prj.htm

Despite the title, it will also drive all electrostatic headphones and (apparently- I've never heard it) sounds much better than the triode amp.

I have built the solid state amp and love it, it drives my Sennheiser HE90 headphones very well and is powerful enough that it can easily drive the HE90 and Stax Omega 2 at the same time.

Parts cost is estimated in the $500-$700 range.
