Hi,

I have good old mdr-V6, and I am not sure if they can still produce best sound, because there is some debris on drivers, and
last time I wanted to carefully take it off with a magnetic screwdriver (like an idiot), and of course it stabbed hard on the
diaphragm...
Luckily it seems that I didn't broke it, it still sounds.
So that I want to ask - is it worth to buy new earpads?

Well I mean if it still sounds good it would be worth it. The V6 can withstand quite a beating.

I'd personally recommend getting velours instead of the Sony pads because they are a ton more durable. Pearstone makes some as well Beyerdynamic.

I highly recommend the Pearstones
