Yep, you read correctly - Dion, of "Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer" fame has a new album out. He's 69 years old, and this is an album of the music that influenced him in the early 50's - acoustic blues and a touch of country. It's a sparse album, just him on acoustic and minimal percussion. That's it.
I had read a couple of reviews that were positive (including Rolling Stone) and decided to give it a try. And it's sounding pretty damn good to me. His voice sounds excellent, and the guitar playing is very nice too. If you like acoustic blues, check it out.
