I would have voted mp+ (aka mpc) if I weren't using a mp3 CD player...

lol... I feel your pain! The day when they have MPC compatible portables will be a great one indeed.

Not that I've proved that I can hear the difference between my --alt-preset standard -B 256 -F files and the original wavs... (the -B and -F are there for compatibility with my Sony D-CJ01...

) last I tried ABX (on a laptop with cheapo earbuds) I couldn't even tell 128kbps apart from wav!
