Hey guys, I have a quick question.

First, this is my setup:

Computer-->>Schiit Bifrost DAC-->>Schiit Valhalla-->>Beyer DT770 600 ohm / Denon AH-D2000

I guess my main question, is will I see a difference between high quality Spotify streaming vs FLAC Rips vs a CD?

If Spotify is at 320kbps, probably not.

See the links in my signature for some testing material that you can use with Foobar's ABX comparator to see for yourself.

The transcoding one also has a file with a good deal of high frequency information(hardest to preserve in compression) and it includes a 320kbps version as well as FLAC and 128kbps. (if you don't want to search through the irrelevant material on that thread for links... lossless: http://www.mediafire.com/?rk2d4s0edb235dc 320kbps LAME mp3: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?opc9md3239h4amt )

If you have a different file you want to test feel free to send me it and I can convert it for you.

As far as FLAC vs CD, FLAC is the same quality as CD, bit for bit.
