I just purchase the nuforce uDAC and I would like to know which option will result in the best sound quality.

What is the difference between Analog Stereo Output and Digital Stereo Duplex?

bump, I'm interested to know the same thing (Ubuntu 9.04 + HA INFO NG27 [pcm2702]).

Analog Stereo seems to allow louder playback.

Isn't the digital the coax output? You use that to plug into another DAC...

That's my guess as well.   My laptop has the option for both, and the analog out doubles as coax out with the right kind of cable.  Haven't tried the coax out though - just been using USB on this machine.
