Difference between an audiophile and an audio connoisseur

The labels don't mean a whole lot. It's a given that everyone loves music, it's just that there are some gearheads who get much too far involved in the equipment and extreme tweaking. I think they enjoy torturing themselves over the bittiest difference. And I mean difference, not improvement.

Yeah, I like the gear, but I don't tweak, and it's more about electronics and understanding various circuits for me.

The difference between an audiophile and audio enthusiast has to do with the level of fidelity of the sound reproduction and one's ability to discern the difference. The only difference between a audiophile and an audio connoisseur is the word's connotation. The two are even used together, as in auidophile connoisseur... as if there are differences between an audiophile, audio connoisseur, and audiophile connoisseur.

OP: <<I consider myself this because personally If I could I would want every second of my life to be filled with music. I love listening to and playing music and there is little I like more. When I listen to music I enjoy it even if the quality isnt the best. I dont need music to be top notch to enjoy it; >>

If you are being happy listening to even bad recordings, then it's a gift. Be there. Just enjoy the music. Once you start analyze atomically then it will be difficult to go back.

That must be quoted.
100% truth.
