So I just got my Monster Copper Pros in today.  I ordered them on Amazon.  So far I think they sound great and I love them.  I did however notice that the wiring at the base of the IEMs is different then the picture displayed on Monsters website.  Observe:

Amazon is an authorized dealer, but I have read horror stories on this forum that they have indeed purchased fakes from Amazon.  Does anyone know how to tell these ones with the different wiring apart from the fake ones?

Anyway, Monster did make some change on the strain relief a while back, if that's what you are asking for. They just didn't update their site.

Links work now.  My bad.  ClieOS seems to have answered the question about the wiring change, but is there any other way to tell if they are fake on these new versions?  I have looked at the other threads with regards to fakes and they have comparisons to for the older models.  The price for the Copper Pros is down to 219 now btw.

I ordered the coppers yesterday from amazon for 219 . If you ordered them from Amazon directly they are real but there is a thread comparing fakes to real.

Mine are real and i got the same as you so maybe amazon's pics are outdated
