@andrewchoppa ,attached below is the only email we received from you, and our response. Sorry to hear how you took it.
Suppose the response could have been expanded upon, must have been a busy day. This and no emoticons:deadhorse:

I also agree Abyss the organisation are arrogant and hard to deal with. I asked a question about the bass port pads ever going on special ($430 AUD) and i was rudely told that that WAS a special and they were not going to be further discounted......... I also asked them to resend my invoice and got no response at all.............

Hi Andrew,

These are already discounted on the site, no other offers at this time.

Thank you!

Hi guys,

I just bought a pair of warehouse V2s and very excited (haven’t had a chance to try yet).

I know you af=dvise to listen first without, which I certainly will do for some time.

Just wondering (and probably pushing my luck) but just checking – do you have a demo model or cheap (factory second) model of bass ported pad going a bit cheaper, or will you ever have these on sale?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Hey guys, Thanks for the response, I do really appreciate it.

Don’t need warm and fuzzy but some humanity, approachability and humility should not be compromisable imo.

For 2 minutes extra, I guess given I’ve spent $$$ thousands of dollars on a pair of your headphones, I would have responded with:

“Hi Andrew, thanks for reaching out and for purchasing one of our headphones- hope you’re loving them-we think they’re pretty bloody special!!
With regards to your enquiry, the bass port pads are currently at a special price and although they may seem more expensive than normal pads due to the r&d gone into them and technology used, if you love your bass, then we think they are worth every cent!
Please feel free to reach out with anything else, and enjoy the cans!
Regards,
The abyss team”

As a company, be approachable, affable, fun and great communicators. It will drive sales exponentially!

My salary will be $150k USD plus benefits- when do I start?? 😂😂😂

Also, as mentioned, I did send an email to info@jbslabs.com on 17/7/23 and received no response. This probably fueled my rant too.
Given you know who I am and have my email, could you please send my original invoice as I dont seem to have a copy except for my PayPal remittance.

Thanks heaps,

Andrew

Idk dude. The response from Abyss seemed appropriate, straightforward, and polite to me, but what do I know? lol

On another note, I have had my warehouse sale V2s for a couple of weeks now, so I finally ordered the bass ported pads after much deliberation. I have primarily seen nothing but positive impressions which has me wondering if there are any users out there who prefer the stock pads.

Yes I probably took it the wrong way but I was also frustrated that they hadn’t responded to my request for invoice. Compounded but ott on my end. I still way prefer my response though, given the huge $$$ we spend on their cans.

I mean... He's got a point with the headband. I was watching it while using my set and when he mentioned the fit issues I just laughed. I had to Frankenstein mine to get better comfort. I get that some people don't have major issues but if most people have issues well...

Is that ZMF headband or BeyerDynamics ? I used the HD280 headband and it'a very confortable and fit perfectly without velcro. Some used the AKG (K550) headband (previous owner did), but it was way too firm and I'm not a fand of glue-on things.

Hello everyone!
I plan to buy Diana TC for home use- is it Chord TT2 a good pairing?
and maybe you can share your thoughts about good streamer to this combo.
Thanks!

For a combo dac + headphone out, it's a pretty great set up already, and actually synergise well with any Dianas. Personally I would prefer Diana TC with the bass perforated pad when connected to TT2 direct.

SP 3000 will drive Diana V2 and the upcoming Diana MR just fine. Will also work with Diana TC but near the top of its volume range, depending on how loud you like to listen. If you already own the 3000 suggest the MR, will be available soon and its low 30 ohm impedance will make it easy to drive with most portable gear.

Yes, but dealing with audiophiles is like reasoning with petulant children.
