Naw @jlbrach said it was silly before me spending $40k to "properly" listen to $3.5k transducers... He's a fast one, beat me to it....You’re replying to your own comment?
I never said it wasn’t silly to spend 40K on a source chain. Quite the opposite actually. What the hell is going on with this forum today?
I prefer my V2 over the TC.
I was impressed by the TC's sound quality, not so much by the MR. Fit was not great on either, as the buid is nigh identicalI was a little confused by this and your earlier post about the fit - you said you were impressed by the TC but not by the MR — are you saying the fit was good on the TC but not the MR? Abyss indicated fit is same for both but I was left with impression you thought otherwise?
3000€? They are 3000 USD like the V2 so its about 4200€. But Abyss is not very attractive here in Europe. 5500€ for the TC is insaneAlso tested the Diana MR yesterday, very dynamic and fast, but Diana has never had the right fit for my head. If the price will stay below 3000€ then Abyss has a strong product. Made a little video about High End including Diana MR and the new XI Audio Amp.
Your words dosent even make any senseIf the fit design sucks, You need to buy optional earpads, duh.
I live in Europe (Austria) myself and of course I know the prices. I also think that Diana MR will cost significantly more than €3,000. But at 4000€+ there are so many alternatives that I prefer whichever Diana version, primarily because of the fit.3000€? They are 3000 USD like the V2 so its about 4200€. Agreed, it reminds me of 90's Mercedes with wooden interiors. I prefer industrial type of design personally.Diana v2 is still the coolest looking and nicest HP in hand, to me, but that wood seems so out of place on that new model.
I think they look great, with the lighter one being my favorite...Here is a couple of them from High End
