How deep are the new Diana pads in comparison to headphones like the Hifiman HE1000SE and the Focal Utopia? My ears touch on the HE1000SE and sometimes touch on the Utopia.

With the pad design, I think tip of your ears will touch the pad, due to smaller opening compare to HE1000 SE / Utopia.

I notice a slight extra weight, now become 390 gram. Still lightweight indeed.

I though the Diana PHI already had the current TC driver just cut down and that the V2 had the previous driver's ?
Same. Looks like the Phi (pedantic but its pronounced FEE (ask a greek speaker)) has been replaced already so I really feel for those who bought a pair a few days ago.

I chose the V2 for it's more mellow presentation. I've heard the Phi TC Abyss and it bothers my tinnitus. Sounds wonderful but my stupid ears couldn't handle it. Just a bit too forward and aggressive.

Found the same. Phi (or TC as it’s now called) was best for detail retrieval but a little harsh on poorer recordings, V2 had a smoother sound and more pleasant with most recordings.

Can anyone here be so kind to take the time to let me know the difference between the V1 & V2? Here in the UK we only have the V1 on ebay. I tried the V2 and loved them.

I tried to find reviews comparing them but nothing came up...
Thanks

AFAIK, the Diana Phi is based on the 1266 Phi driver while the 1266 Phi TC is a newer revision. There was a lot of teeth gnashing in the 1266 forums when Abyss made clear that the older 1266 Phi (CC) could not be upgraded to the TC driver as it was prevoiusly possible with the transition from the OG 1266 to Phi.

Newer driver with more even frequency response and new pads (maybe also frame idk). I found the V1 version to be rather bright and tiring while the V2 is a lot more balanced.

I might add, the listing is for a V1 with the V2 pads. It was bought 9 months ago new so it has 15 months warranty.

Thanks for your feedback though, so it is quite a different headphone then.
