@skedra made mine. You wont find better quality/price ratio. He also has a lot of experience with the Diana connectors which isn't the case with most aftermarket cable makers.Hi guys, any recommendation on what headphone cable to get for Diana v2? something not so thick and heavy like the superconductor.

Yes, the older version of the pads look much better. The new pads look like a beat up doughnut. I know I'm perhaps being overly critical but for a 3 or 4 thousand dollar headphone this is pretty sorry.
Honestly this makes me sad
Has someone else more pictures?
*found them in this thread.
At least they seems to be better in sounding and quality.

quality? Doesn't look so. it looks extremely prototype and handcrafted. Totally opposite from the sleek and perfectly machined headphone. And I don't swallow that excuse of Abyss being handcrafted and that's normal. Audeze, ZMF and other are as well and their pads are on another level
If that is the result of bringing the pads production in house, I think would be better to keep it outsourced and improved at the supplier side.
sorry for the ranting, but I rally think we shouldn't accept everything thrown at us, specially at this price and without notice as the case of the colleague here.

I see the older pads are still showing as available on the Abyss EU website.Yes, the older version of the pads look much better.

Every step is an opportunity to improve. But as a Diana Phi owner (and R&D Engineer), the question is: Are those new pads really design and production quality intent?I suppose you ran before you walked. Thanks for giving us the time to improve upon our art.

I'm not sure what to complain from the new pad. At real life experience the newer pad is absolutely full of pros without cons.

Perhaps don't sell them until you learn to run? I mean it's not rocket science to just look at them and see that they're not good enough at the price points of your products.
I'm a happy V2 owner but the fit/comfort of the headband and pads has always made the experience crappy. And it's not like these are problems that weren't solved decades ago at MUCH lower price points.

FWIW I find the Diana Phi's with the original gray pads to be super comfortable and I have no fit issues at all.
That said, my previous headphone was the AB1266 so this newfound comfort is in a comparison to those

AB1266 is not that bad in comfort actually, for more than 3 hours listening time, definitely much better than LCD-4

Agreed, I wore mine for up to 6 hours straight without real issue but its not like I ever 'forgot' they were on my head, the weight and unusual fit were a constant reminder.
My main issue with my Diana Phi is that there is a treble spike which makes certain vocals feel quite harsh to listen to. I read somewhere that a DMS Mod pad helps tame them and also add some more to the lowend, can anyone point me towards a place where I can get these from as my searches came back blank?

Not the route you want to take I know but I found the Superconductor helped with this spike, especially on female vocals. V2 is a more pleasant listen on harsher recordings, lacking the super detail of the Phi only a little. My main issue with my Diana Phi is that there is a treble spike which makes certain vocals feel quite harsh to listen to. About as much intent as their "abyss flat target curve" I'm sure....
We are all still waiting on that video talking about pads that was mentioned over a month ago.. While it seems customers are already getting the new and improved deformed luxury pads.

Unfortunately, as far as I understand, abyss doesn’t not sell the DMS pads anymore. The newest version of Diana pads just came out and are supposed to be quite comfortable….but have not heard that they alter the sound.Agreed, I wore mine for up to 6 hours straight without real issue but its not like I ever 'forgot' they were on my head, the weight and unusual fit were a constant reminder.

Geeze guys, we didn't think the new ear pads looked that bad to take all this sh.t. Here's some shots of a pair of Phi's that just went through QC... Note we added a pillow top to them.
