The Topping A30 Pro will power the Diana V2 perfectly on "mid" gain, @10 O'clock, and that is quite loud.
Excellent little amp.
I was looking at one of those along with the D30 Pro as a bedside solution. Is the A30 musical with the Diana’s?

Its basically a slightly less powerful version of the a90 with no pre-amp function. I have the a90, I thought it has always sounded "musical" especially when I play music.

The A30-Pro is slightly warmer then the THX-789, so, its mildly clinical, but not dry or sterile.
The D-V2 works well with it, tho this is going to be governed somewhat by your Dac of Choice.
Ears are different, and according to my set, the DV-2, does not new anything feeding it that is warm.
Clinical or analytical works well, and slightly warm works well, and Class A works well, as that offers a different harmonic structure that widens the middle mids but does not bump up the upper lows.

I owned Diablo and Hugo 2 at the same time, hoping I could save 1k, yet ended up spending 1k more, haha. I liked Diablo for its ability to drive power hungry headphones, but did not find the sound natural, compared to Hugo 2. Which would have been fine for electronic music, but not for real life instruments nor human voice. I ended up keeping Hugo 2 and then adding BX2-Plus which is quite transparent so it did not change the sonic characteristics, while adding the needed power Hugo 2 lacked for Diana V2.
the chord DAC is in another league from the wa11...the hugo 2 is however a fair bit more expensive...the hugo 2 with the romi portable amp is a great combo for hard to drive HP's...pricey though

I was just listening to some of my Dacs to try to find the most "musical", regarding playing the Diana V-2 with the Topping A 30 Pro.

The most "musical" Dac i own regarding using the Diana V-2s, is the Prism Sound Callia.

Nice, so you get what I am trying to do. Since the A30 Pro is fairly neutral, pairing it with a musical Dac will get me somewhere close to my ideal sound signature with the Diana V2's. The Prism Sound Callia looks to be like a nice all in one. Does the headphone amp have enough power for the Diana's?

Yes., but i use the Dac into the A30P more often.

And another amp that touches Diana V2's musical vein is the Audio-GD NFB-29.38 ES9038 Pro

Audio-GD is one company who's gear I've never heard. I have a friend who has one and he enjoys it quite a bit.

what's the trick to attach them?
I am currently just using some gentle 3m double sided tape. I cut out about 12 little pieces and tape them all around the edges.

I swapped to a different pads today, so I figured I would take some pictures of how I did it for those who are interested. I find swapping different pads makes a significant sound change to the diana v2.
