Haha nice you got me jamming the balanced D7000's in comparing them to my stockers!  Good stuff!

Great time meeting everyone.  Here's a few photos I took from the meet.  Sorry I bolted out kind of abruptly I totally lost track of time!  Hope to meet some of you guys again.  Some of you have some amazing set ups.

Just got back home from Ann Arbor. Had a lot of fun at the meet. Some of my highlights are...

* Listening to Peter's vintage Marantz CD player - I was very impressed with sound just from headphone out. Your glowing volume meter thingy was very trippy.
* Hearing for first time the LCD-2s (thanks Thread!) - they are altogether a different breed of headphones.
* Glueing myself to tvrboy's Cary Exciter/V100/HD800 setup - loved the silky smooth sound of the HD800s. I must resist the impulse for another upgrade.
* Geeking out on  iems on KIbble Fat's self-built DAC and AMP, which sounded amazing.
* Having to privilege to try out the Jude's Westone 4's before they are even released (!).
* Listening to th balanced T1s on Musicman59's incredible, full-rack setup, it was a spectacle to behold.

And last but not least, meeting some very cool fellow head-fiers. Thank you all for generously sharing your gear, and big thanks to Peter and Walter for hosting. This certainly is a special community we have built here.

I walked in the door. The drive back to Kzoo wasn't so bad. Nice clear roads and no traffic!

Thanks to everyone for sharing your wonderful setups. I had an absolute blast. And kudos to whomever picked the brewpub after. I can see driving back over to eat there again.

Hopefully I have some more to share next time around.

Well guys, mission accomplished! I got home just before midnight and placed the order for the HE-6. See what you made me do Aaron!!!
It was very nice to see some familiar faces and met new friends. I had a lot of fun talking and sharing experiences.
I hope we can meet again soon. Walter and I talked about trying to organize a meet twice a year. What do you think?

I would be very interested in a a few meets per year. I really don't mind driving around. It only took me an hour and a half to get home, and I stopped for gas.

Musicman, thanks again for bringing all your awesome gear and letting everyone play with all your very fun toys haha.

Anyway, I think meeting 2-3 times per year is a great idea. Maybe I can have my Buffalo II DAC built for the next meet :)

Thanks for posting the pictures, and driving out to the meet. Looked like everyone had a good time and I had a blast. Big thanks to MusicMan and Jude for lugging their gear out, and everyone else for bringing something to share.

I think a meet up 2 times a year sounds just about right. It will give most people time to save enough money to have something new for the next meet...... Any more and I would be broke all year and I can't do that, or can I, hmmmmmmm.

Thanks again for everyone that came out,
Walter
