Hmmm ... well that is what I thought too. I can software upsample from 16/44.1 to 24/192 and everything is fine. I just bought a hardware upsampler (Musiland SRC10) and with that I cannot get any sound above 24/96. My thought was that it was the Musiland, but I just wanted a confirmation. Hopefully there will be a few DAC's at the meet tomorrow that can accept a 24/192 input stream. Thanks.
Hmmmm...I've never heard of software upsampling before. Is it any good? My reaction would be that some good hardware would do a cleaner job, but who knows - have to try to know for sure, as always!

sorry I could not be of more help.
Have fun at the meet!

It's pretty good, just uses a lot of resources, which is why I wanted to try a hardware upsampler.
You cannot change the output sampling frequency on the fly at anything above 96kz or the upsampler and DAC will not sync. As long as you set the upsamplers output frequency first and then turn on the amp/DAC it will sync at either 176.4kHz or 192kHz. Problem Solved.
