The title pretty much says it all. I am trying to get a handle on what is available in a desktop (non-portable) DAC that can accept a direct input from an idevice. I would rather avoid the need for powered hub as would be required with a Schitt Modi, although I could still go that route or use my laptop.
I know there are portable solutions that work well such as the TEAC HA-P50 and the Oppo HA-2 that require only one cable to connect the iphone to the portable dac/amp and allow the idevice to output a digital signal directly into the dac. Looking for something equally simple for a desktop solution.
Thanks.
