I am new here.
While looking through the Head-Fi buyer's guide, I saw the section on designed-for-IEM portable amps. I must admit I do not quite understand how they would differ from regular, portable amps.
I am currently shopping around for a portable amp or amp/dac.The main use today will be to drive my Westone 4r (various sources) but who knows what my next headphone purchase will be.
Would any portable amp produce decent results with my IEM or should I really be sticking to the designed-for-IEM category?
Any help/suggestion is much appreciated.
