Do the Denons from the Amazon Marketplace sellers come with their serial numbers intact?

In particular, I'm considering the d1001k as a gift so if anybody has info on the relevant amazon marketplace sellers (e.g. BuyNow inc., etc.) please let me know, it would be much appreciated. Also, are there any manufacturing defects on these phones that I should be aware of?

I'm not sure if Denon headphones come with serial #s. I just checked my D2000 and its box and I don't see any serial # anywhere. However, Denon only warrants from authorized dealers. Not sure if Amazon includes merchant/marketplace sellers.

You must check with Denon directly to confirm your vendor is one of their authorized vendors, for which they'll honor their warranty. Many of the Amazon marketplace vendors are not authorized Denon vendors - for example: ANTOnline is not an authorized Denon vendor.

Never saw a serial number on my Denon Headphones.

If you purchase it from Amazon directly (Amazon fulfills the order themselves), it is authorized. If you go to Denon's website you will see that Amazon is one of their authorized dealers... but of course this does not include purchasing it from someone else through Amazon.
