Denon D5000 for 419$ at Provantage!

Just got an update from Provantage regarding my D2000 order:

Status: IN PROGRESS

Your order has been placed with one of our suppliers who will ship it directly to you.

The supplier has not provided us with a firm shipping date.

Note: Your order has been forwarded to a regional warehouse for processing. We will issue an invoice once we have confirmation.

3 weeks... Try over 2 mos. Today they told me 8/21, so those who keep being told this week are getting the "old story" that they were using a couple of weeks ago. I'm canceling my order for D5000, as they have had my money since 5/14, and I'm not in the business of financing companies.

I like supporting headfi sponsors when I can, but Denon doesnt need to price fix these things at $699 in the states. Provantage, Antonline, etc had these things for cheap. Too bad my last pair ended up duds and I had to return them, cuz I don't think they are worth $700, and I refuse to pay that much. I'm starting to wonder if my first pair were B-stock refurbs or something. Sure I can get em from pricejapan for $550, but still, thats alot more than $400, and more than I'm willing to pay. I'll wait for used ones or someone else who gets actually gets them in stock.

This is weird. I just asked to cancel my order because I was informed yesterday(7/24) that my estimated shipping date was 8/6 and I was sick of waiting. Instead of canceling, I got an email stating they shipped 7/24. Sure enough, tracking number works and everything. Should be here the 29th.

They haven't cancelled my order yet. If they ultimately ignore my request to cancel, I hope they send me the D5000 at the $381 price (instead of the $419 I originally signed up for). : )

I canceled my provantage order for the D2000 two days ago and bought a pair off ebay with 25% live, comes out to be $20 cheaper after the rebate

. I should receive them tomorrow and the rebate is pending in my live account already.

Heres more 25% off details:

Basically go to live.com, search for "cheap wii" a 25% will show up at the top off eBay (sponsored sites) click it and it'll take you to eBay and you'll notice a 25% off at the top left. (if you get 20% instead, just refresh until you get 25%)

Now search for the Denon or w/e else you want to buy. Auction must be buy it now and accept paypal. Checkout with paypal, wait for the email from ebay in your my ebay page and click the link and sign in with your live account.
