Not sure if I am going to get flamed for this but it seemed like something that you folks might be interested in. As I am not selling them I felt this would be the appropriate area to post. Denon AHD2000 - New @ $ 249 (Edit: was $215, then $210.60, $215, $199.99, $215, $243) USD from Amazon with free shipping > "see price in cart".

Back to full retail $349 Jan 11

Denon's AH-D2000 and 7000 have prices that will fluctuate a lot. I know that with the D7000 it is because of supply and the same probably goes for the D2000. Exactly one year ago, I saw the D2000 on a few sites for $200, including a few authorized retailers from eBay, and numerous Amazon listings. Buy.com even offered free shipping. 3 weeks ago they were $215 from a few Amazon retailers but that quickly changed. It is an intimidating market for these Denon cans because you just know they will hit a great price AFTER you buy a set. Your move should reflect how patient you are, because that's what this boils down to. D2000 can and will hit $200 NIB at times, and D7000 as low as $550, it's just a matter of when.

Yes, especially the supply side seems 'jumpy' to say the least. I bought them new for a good price, however I had to wait >1 month for them; it looks like they have zero stock and produce them per (batch) order...

I'd say go for it.
Why wait for them to drop even lower?
$249 is a very good deal in my opinion, certainly considering many claim the D2000's to be nearly identical to the D5000's, and those are headphones I simply adore.
Some even prefer the D2000's over them...

Too bad I don't need them, I have the D5000's already...could someone give me a reason of getting them anyway?

Yeah the D5000s are going for $480 right now, I'm getting some soon.

Have been seriously considering these headphones...

Does anyone know if the build quality issues that ive read (loose and stripped screws) about have been improved at all? This is the only thing holding me back.

Build quality at times can SEEM cheap, but in reality, it is a well built HP if you treat it well (every HP should be treated well IMO).
